Results and Analysis:

The chart below shows the DNA results that have currently been reported back from Family Tree DNA. The adminstrators have used color shading to try to highlight similarities. The results have been grouped in a fashion to help indicate where there are likely to be family relationships.

Each DNA test is associated by Family Tree DNA with a unique kit number. The kit number in the charts below is a link to the Member's Personal Page. The Personal Page provides the genealogical results submitted by the Member along with a DNA analysis provided by the Study administrators. Currently, the kit is also associated with the name of the Member's Earliest Known Ancestor. If you see an ancestor that you are familiar with, you may want to pay more attention to that result.

Click on the Kit Numbers below to see the associated Member genealogy.

This Group results page shows the results for the kits not yet assigned to families. To see results for kits assigned to families, go to Family Results

Haplogroup Shading Code: Note: all Haplogroup values are reported based on latest Y-DNA Haplogroup Standard nomenclature.
We update these results as the Standard is changed (usually every 1-2 years).
R1b1    Predicted - Haplogroup value is predicted by FTDNA based on marker values.
R1b1    Backbone Test - Haplogroup value is derived based on a now obsolete SNP Backbone Test by FTDNA. Additional SNPs need to be analysed.
R1b1    Earlier Standard - Haplogroup value is measured based on a Deep Clade Test performed by FTDNA based on earlier
Y-DNA Haplogroup Standard. Additional new SNPs need to be analysed.
R1b1    Current Standard - Haplogroup Value is measured based on a Deep Clade Test performed by FTDNA to latest Y-DNA Haplogroup Standard.

Allele Shading Code: Codes to show exceptions to family highlighting based on differences between your results and Predicted Ancestral Haplotype.
Please note that some alleles have been designated as Fast Mutators - this means that changes in their values MAY have less genealogical significance.
29    Difference noted for fast mutating allele. Differences may have less genealogical significance.
29    Difference noted for slow mutating allele.
No value for this allele was observed. Normally used with for 464e, 464f, and 464g.
Ordered. Data has been ordered and awaiting report from FTDNA.

Fast vs. Slow Mutating Alleles: The Alleles whose names are in red in the header row have been designated by FamilyTreeDNA as fast mutating. This means that, when comparing two kits, these alleles have less genealogical significance and figure less in determining if two kits have a family match.

Group NEW - New Members Waiting for DNA Results (3 members)

These members have submitted their DNA sample to FTDNA and FTDNA has not finished processing their sample or reported the results. They will be moved to their appropriate Family or Group when the data is entered.

Group 611 - New Haplogroup Designation - Unassigned Members (2 members)

These are the members who can not be assigned to one of the recognized families.

The family grouping is based on Haplogroup assignment (measured or predicted) only.

Our strategy is to create a family when two or more sets of DNA results, for 25 or more markers, report a close enough match so that a common ancestor is likely within the last 400-600 years.

If there is a paper trail genealogy that suggests that a member belongs to one of the recognized family but the DNA does not match, we will create a new "x" family. For example, if a member, based on traditional research, is in Family 1, but their DNA does not match the people of Family 1, they will be placed in Family 1x.

If you have any questions or suggestions for placement, please contact the administrators.

   Group 211 - Haplogroup I2b - Unassigned Members (3 members)

   Group 511 - Haplogroup R1b1a2a1a1 - Unassigned Members (5 members)
