General Comments:

The parents of Harry Davidson were Samuel Davidson and Margaret, according to Harry's death certificate. According to the book, William Cross of Botetourt Co., VA & His Descendants (1733-1932), the parents of Harry were Samuel Davidson and Margaret Shawl.

In the 1880 census Harry stated that his father was born in Virginia, his mother in Pennsylvania. His death certificates stated that he was born 1 Apr. 1850 in Hillsboro, Ohio. Extensive searching has not revealed his parents or him in the census of 1850 or 1860. In 1870 he was located in St. Louis, Missouri, aged 20, working as a barber.

In 1873 he married Anna Woerz [Gruber] in St Louis, and they removed to Shelby County, Illinois, and later to Neoga, Cumberland County, Illinois where Harry died 23 Sep. 1923.

They had 10 children, from 1874 to 1896 in order:
Harry Philip 1874-1933
Edward Martin 1876-1938
Jeannette Henriette 1879-1967
William W 1881-1923
Grover Cleveland 1884-1962
Franklin R 1887-1966
Dorothy F 1889-1982?
Archie Dean 1891-1960
Anna G 1894-1962
Elmer Raymond 1896-1944

Haplogroup Shading Code: Note: all Haplogroup values are reported based on latest Y-DNA Haplogroup Standard nomenclature.
We update these results as the Standard is changed (usually every 1-2 years).
R1b1    Predicted - Haplogroup value is predicted by FTDNA based on marker values.
R1b1    Backbone Test - Haplogroup value is derived based on a now obsolete SNP Backbone Test by FTDNA. Additional SNPs need to be analysed.
R1b1    Earlier Standard - Haplogroup value is measured based on a Deep Clade Test performed by FTDNA based on earlier
Y-DNA Haplogroup Standard. Additional new SNPs need to be analysed.
R1b1    Current Standard - Haplogroup Value is measured based on a Deep Clade Test performed by FTDNA to latest Y-DNA Haplogroup Standard.

Allele Shading Code: Codes to show exceptions to family highlighting based on differences between your results and Predicted Ancestral Haplotype.
Please note that some alleles have been designated as Fast Mutators - this means that changes in their values MAY have less genealogical significance.
29    Difference noted for fast mutating allele. Differences may have less genealogical significance.
29    Difference noted for slow mutating allele.
No value for this allele was observed. Normally used with for 464e, 464f, and 464g.
Ordered. Data has been ordered and awaiting report from FTDNA.

Fast vs. Slow Mutating Alleles: The Alleles whose names are in red in the header row have been designated by FamilyTreeDNA as fast mutating. This means that, when comparing two kits, these alleles have less genealogical significance and figure less in determining if two kits have a family match.
