General Comments:

Moses was born & married in PA and had 11 of his 13 children there with wife Elizabeth (Moss). Children were: (1) Hannah Amanda b. 1826 (2) Mary Ann b. 1827 (3) John b. 1829 (4) Martha Jane b. 1831 (5) Samuel Harrison b. 1832...MY LINE (6) David Allen b. 1835 (7) Milford b. 1837 (8) Sarah E. b. 1839 (9) Harriett M. b. 1841 (10) Joseph William b. 1842 (11) Diana b. 1845 (12) James Leander b. 1847 (13) Charles b. 1851.

Family folklore says original ancestors were from Lancaster Co., PA and that about 1846 they head down the Ohio River on a flatboat and up the Wabash River into Indiana. The families are very well established and documented after this.

My speculation was/is that Moses is part of the Moses & Samuel line out of Redstone Twp., Fayette Co., PA. I'm in the process of tracking that line down. It goes something like this:

A) Alexander (d. 1739) & Isabella Davison
B) Samuel (d. 1753) & Martha Davison (brother was John, well documented info on his family but not his brother Samuel.)
C) Moses (b. c 1750 - d. 1822) & Mary Davison (had only 1 son, Samuel)
D) Samuel (b. c 1774 - c1830) & Mary Davison
E) Moses Davison (1804-1880) ...mine...

Now that we have a 67/67 match with Kit#50354, perhaps a common ancestor had 2 sons...one was mine which went to Lancaster, PA...and the other went to VA then KY. In addition to this, all 67 of 67 markers matched for our 2 kits.

We are now a 64 for 67 match with N24188 Joseph DAVIDSON out of Wythe Co., VA... down the line of Alexander>John>William.

Nov. 2009 - New match with Kit#162069 continue to points towards the line of Alexander. We are working with new cousins and trying to document once & for all this connection.

May 2010 - Located burial location and headstone for Samuel c1707-1753 in Lancaster Co., PA. He had 2 sons; John and Moses and John is buried there as well, 1738-1759.

Jan 2012 - Focus is growing towards proving the line thru Alexander to his eldest son, John... we've got John's grandson proven...we are so close!!

Generation Proofs:

9 Will, deeds...especially after he dies some property goes to his oldest son, who also dies and everything goes to his 2nd son, Samuel Davison (1707-1753).

8 Deeds, will, probate, church records, headstone.

7 Deeds, census, will & probate.

6 -none- (Jan. 2012...still working on it!)

5 I have documention of births, deaths, census, deeds, marriages, wills and obits to confirm.

4 I have documention of births, deaths, census, deeds, marriages, wills and obits to confirm.

3 I have documention of births, deaths, census, deeds, marriages, wills and obits to confirm.

2 I have documention of births, deaths, census, deeds, marriages, wills and obits to confirm.

1 Private...still living...this is my father.

Haplogroup Shading Code: Note: all Haplogroup values are reported based on latest Y-DNA Haplogroup Standard nomenclature.
We update these results as the Standard is changed (usually every 1-2 years).
R1b1    Predicted - Haplogroup value is predicted by FTDNA based on marker values.
R1b1    Backbone Test - Haplogroup value is derived based on a now obsolete SNP Backbone Test by FTDNA. Additional SNPs need to be analysed.
R1b1    Earlier Standard - Haplogroup value is measured based on a Deep Clade Test performed by FTDNA based on earlier
Y-DNA Haplogroup Standard. Additional new SNPs need to be analysed.
R1b1    Current Standard - Haplogroup Value is measured based on a Deep Clade Test performed by FTDNA to latest Y-DNA Haplogroup Standard.

Allele Shading Code: Codes to show exceptions to family highlighting based on differences between your results and Predicted Ancestral Haplotype.
Please note that some alleles have been designated as Fast Mutators - this means that changes in their values MAY have less genealogical significance.
29    Difference noted for fast mutating allele. Differences may have less genealogical significance.
29    Difference noted for slow mutating allele.
No value for this allele was observed. Normally used with for 464e, 464f, and 464g.
Ordered. Data has been ordered and awaiting report from FTDNA.

Fast vs. Slow Mutating Alleles: The Alleles whose names are in red in the header row have been designated by FamilyTreeDNA as fast mutating. This means that, when comparing two kits, these alleles have less genealogical significance and figure less in determining if two kits have a family match.
